You've heard of macrame, you've heard of weaving... but have you heard about the amazing combination of the two: macraweave? Get all of the quick, easy knotting of macrame and all the texture and colorful details of weaving in one piece!
In this four-hour workshop, Sarah of Sarah Harste Weavings will guide you in creating your own medium-size macraweave wall hanging from start to finish. You'll learn the basics of macraweave, including: how to design a macrame background with designated "pockets" for weaving, how to weave tabby and soumak onto a macrame piece, how to work with roving on a macrame piece, and how to attach fringe.
This workshop will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 1-5pm at Sarah Harste Weavings studio (address below). Feel free to BYOB!
