“Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree… however do I knot thee?”
Try this modern take on a 1970s tradition! In this workshop, you’ll macrame a Christmas tree from start to finish. Led by Columbus fiber artist Sarah Harste, you’ll learn three basic macrame knots, how to add rope to create a triangle (or tree!) shape, and how to add beads to your creation. You’ll even have the option of two different ways to finish off your tree!
All materials are provided — no need to bring anything except your creative enthusiasm! Three colors of cotton rope available: white, dark green, and mint. Add beads for a little extra holiday cheer, or keep it classic with a no-bead look — it’s up to you! Wood beads available for mint and dark green rope; multi-color beads available for white rope.
Rope kits will be available for sale after class if you plan on creating your own Christmas tree forest or giving trees as gifts!
This workshop will take place on Sunday, November 17 from 1-3:30pm at Natterdoodle studio (address below). Feel free to BYOB!
